BIGGER AND BETTER!
For immediate Release – March 14, 2007
Kemptville, ON, February 14, 2007 – Kemptville District Hospital and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, working in partnership, recently agreed to a new master plan for long term growth. “This is very good news for the community” says Colin Goodfellow, CEO of the Hospital. “The Ministry recognizes that Kemptville needs a hospital that will be here to serve an ever growing population. All new construction means the building will be suitable for generations to follow.”
With more than 38,000 square feet of new space, the new design will offer a dramatically improved functionality and increased efficiency and comfort for the patients and staff. The new construction will also enable the hospital to acquire the latest technology and equipment for the Emergency, Operating and Diagnostic Departments.
The opportunity to build for the future now comes with being Eastern Ontario’s fastest growing community. As a leading rural hospital in the province, a new building is crucial for the community and will furnish doctors and nurses with the tools they need to provide state-of –the-art patient care. Kemptville District Hospital is committed to building healthier communities and that’s a long term commitment.
