KDH AUXILIARY DONATES $25,000 TO HOSPITAL
For immediate Release – March 30, 2007
Kemptville, ON, March 30, 2007 – Lis Angus, President of the Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary recently presented a cheque for $25,000 to Kemptville District Hospital CEO Colin Goodfellow. “I am grateful to the members of the Auxiliary for all their hard work this past year. Their countless volunteer hours and fundraising efforts are very much appreciated by our staff, visitors and patients” says Goodfellow; adding “volunteers are a cornerstone of a healthy community”.
The Hospital Gift Shop, Hey Day, Tribute Fund and a successful quilt raffle are just some of the ways the Auxiliary raised its funds. This year the donation will be put to good use through the purchase of eight IV pumps that the hospital will be purchasing in the coming weeks. The pumps are designed to control the delivery of fluids and medications through an intravenous catheter. This equipment will help to ensure that patients receive the best care. "KDH Auxiliary members are proud to support our hospital, and we're especially pleased to be able to directly improve patient services through this donation” says Lis Angus.
