The KDH Foundation raises funds on behalf of the Kemptville District Hospital. We undertake community fundraising initiatives to provide support for new medical equipment and to provide ongoing financial support required to maintain quality health care programs and services to our community.

Thanks to our supporters the Kemptville District Hospital opened the new redevelopment which featured the new Tallman Emergency Department, new diagnostic imaging suites and additional surgical day care.

Our community is growing fast and the Kemptville District Hospital is expanding and changing to meet these needs.

The Kemptville District Hospital provides patient focused care close to home. The Kemptville District Hospital Foundation supports this work by raising funds for the equipment needs of the hospital. By purchasing upgraded and state-of-the art equipment as well as replacing worn out equipment, we provide the doctors, nurses and staff with the best tools to do their job.

Our needs as a community are growing and changing. With the newly built diagnostic imaging suites and additional surgical day care there is an even greater demand for equipment. Everything from mammography machines and operating room tables to surgical tools must be purchased.

Together we can ensure that Kemptville District Hospital is able to provide the best possible health care to everyone who needs our help. Each and every donation will make a difference, for today, and for tomorrow. Every donation counts!

Did You Know?

That breast cancer rates for the area included Lanark, Leeds, North Grenville and Ottawa West regions are higher than for Ontario women overall?

That mortality rates from breast cancer are higher here than in other areas of the Champlain region?

That early detection is key to saving lives yet only about 65% of women in our area who are eligible for free breast cancer screening are currently taking advantage of the service?

We Need Your Help
Our community desperately needs additional cancer screening equipment. With the assistance of our donors and you we believe we will be better able to answer a growing need in our community by offering mammography services and the Ontario Breast Screening Program here in Kemptville. Local women will have the benefit of an early breast cancer diagnosis, proven to increase survival rates among women diagnosed with this disease.
We have launched a fundraising campaign to raise the $750,000 needed to purchase the equipment.
