Since opening the doors of the KDH Health Centre in 2003 with one part-time family physician, one receptionist, one ancient computer for booking appointments and a shelf of paper charts, we’re proud our Centre has grown to include five physicians, a fully computerized office with 11 stations, electronic medical records and the ability to access the charts remotely.

Based on the success of our recruiting strategy to date, we have been able to create new positions, expand our current staff and provide them with new roles and challenges. Our staff has been fortunate enough to be included in the many events that are offered through KDH, such as wound care seminars and CPR courses.

Two new services for patients have been added within the last year – Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor, and Spironmetry testing, which is used for diagnosing and managing patients with respiratory problems such as COPD and asthma.
