At a recent meeting of the Board of Directors of the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation, The Foundation presented a cheque to Mr. Frank Vassallo, CEO of the Kemptville District Hospital for $308,495 raised through the community in support of the Hospital.
The funds were used to purchase much needed equipment including a new ECG machine for the Emergency room, a new portable Ultrasound, an EZ turn lift to move patients safely from bed to chair, a specialty bike for the physiotherapy department and new robes for the mammography unit.
Robert Noseworthy, Chair Kemptville District Hospital Foundation noted “There is no government funding available to purchase equipment. Thanks to the support of our community, the Hospital has the tools it needs to provide the best care possible to our patients”.
