June 23rd, 2010: KDH celebrates 50 years in the community!
Kemptville District Hospital first opened its doors on June 28th, 1960 after years of planning and fundraising by a determined group of local volunteers. On June 26th 2010, KDH is giving back to the community - with a whole day of family fun at Riverside Park and then turning the NG Curling Club into the scene of a 60s sock-hop.

May 27th, 2010: Last chance to sign up for the KDH Nurses Golf Classic on June 5th
The seventh annual Kemptville District Hospital Nurses Golf Classic is set to tee off on Saturday, June 5th at Nationview Golf Course.
May 2010: KDH's New Site Bringing Doctors to Underserved Barrhaven & Manotick
At a recent meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Manotick, Kemptville District Hospital CEO Colin Goodfellow made an announcement that was enthusiastically received by those in attendance. By this time next year, there will be 20 new doctors practicing in the Barrhaven & Manotick areas with the creation of the Rideau Valley Family Health Group and the Rideau Valley Urgent Care Centre. Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) is helping the new organizations get up and running but the centres will operate as separate entities once established.
May 3rd, 2010: Florence Nightingale
Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) will be celebrating Nursing Week from May 10th to 14th with a series of events. Celebrations will kick off with a Florence Nightingale Commemorative Lantern Ceremony on May 10th in the Hospital’s main lobby.
April 24th, 2010: KDH Redevelopment profiled in Ottawa Sun
The latest rural Eastern Ontario hospital to undergo a major makeover is right on track with the project and heading for a July move-in and full operation by September.
March 24th, 2010: New Session of COPD Workshops
Once again this year, Kemptville District Hospital will be hosting a series of information sessions on COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).
March 24th, 2010: Legion Donations
The Kemptville District Hospital recently purchased two much needed cardiac monitors with some help from the Royal Canadian Legion’s Provincial Command Charitable Foundation and the Royal Canadian Legion Zone G3 Command.
March 5th, 2010: KDH donates equipment to Haiti
When KDH Board member Pete Larocque heard that the Hospital had some equipment it was no longer in need of after an upgrade, he immediately thought of well-known Ottawa restauranteur and philanthropist, David Smith.
February 1st, 2010: Mammography Fundraising Campaign
The Kemptville District Hospital Foundation announced the launch of a major fundraising campaign to support the addition of mammography equipment at Kemptville District Hospital.
January 14th, 2010: Bridgadoon celebrates 20 years
In early January, the Brigadoon Restaurant in Oxford Mills celebrated its 20th anniversary by hosting two cocktail parties to benefit the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation.
