KDH celebrates 50 years in the community!
Kemptville, ON, June 23, 2010 – Kemptville District Hospital first opened its doors on June 28th, 1960 after years of planning and fundraising by a determined group of local volunteers. On June 26th 2010, KDH is giving back to the community – with a whole day of family fun at Riverside Park and then turning the NG Curling Club into the scene of a 60s sock-hop.

Location:
1pm to 7pm: Riverside Park, Kemptville
8pm to 1am: North Grenville Curling Club
Detailed Schedule of daytime events, taking place at Riverside Park:
9am: Mixed Recreational Volleyball Tournament
Noon: Poker Run with approximately 100 participants departing from Riverside Park
1pm to 4pm: Children’s Activities, including Teddy Bear Hospital staffed by KDH’s OR nurses
1pm to 8pm: Beer Garden and Live Entertainment (five bands confirmed), with help from Kemptville Kinsmen
4pm to 7pm: Chicken BBQ (Woodland of Spencerville, served by Kemptville Knights of Columbus)
Evening dance, taking place at North Grenville Curling Club, 200 Reuben Crescent, Kemptville
8pm to 1am: 1960’s dance featuring Eddy & the Stingrays, silent and live auction
We expect the largest crowds to be on-site once the BBQ begins at 4pm.
