Media Release - June 23, 2009
The sixth annual Kemptville District Hospital Golf Classic is set to tee off on Saturday, August 15th at Nationview Golf Course.
Organized by a volunteer committee of hospital staff, the annual fundraising tournament will get under way with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. Golfers and sponsors have started to sign up to ensure the event will once again be a successful fundraiser in support of the Hospital.
Registration is only $75 per golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf and a roast beef dinner. Participants also have the option to sign up for just nine holes for a $60 fee. Non-golfers are welcome to join us for dinner only for $25 per person.
Join us for a fun day of golfing and a chance to win a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, courtesy of Bill Osborne Chevrolet. There will be a silent and a live auction with Harry Pratt of Royal Lepage as the auctioneer.
In the last six years, the KDH Classic has raised over $80,000 for the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation. Last year?s KDH Classic raised almost $18,000 alone, which was used to purchase a heating/cooling blanket and vital signs monitor.
