Kemptville, ON, May 13, 2007 – The Kemptville District Hospital Foundation was pleased to accept the second pledge payment of $16,666.00 from the Royal Bank in Kemptville as part of their $50,000 commitment towards the redevelopment of the Hospital.
The Hospital kicked off the redevelopment project in 2004 with the Lean on Me Campaign that realized incredible support from the community raising more than $5 million. When completed, the new Emergency, Diagnostic Imaging and Operating Departments will be relocated to a building with 38,000 square feet of new space. The new design will offer a dramatically improved functionality and increased efficiency and comfort for the patients and staff. The new construction will also enable the hospital to acquire the latest technology and equipment for the Emergency, Operating and Diagnostic Departments. Construction is on track to begin next spring.
