Kemptville, ON, September 25, 2007 – In the fall of 2005 the Kemptville District Hospital’s Masquerade Ball successfully raised more than $100,000 towards the purchase of new state-of-the-art medical equipment for our Emergency, Diagnostic Imaging and Operating Departments. Based on the success of that event and the continuing need to update, replace or acquire new equipment, the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation has been busy organizing what promises to be a spectacular event.
The KDH Foundation Annual Fundraising Soirée will be a first-class experience from beginning to end. The evening kicks off right when guests pull up to the front door. Imaging yourself pulling up to the North Grenville Municipal Centre just before 5:30 pm where our team is on hand to open your car door and greet you with a warm welcome. That’s sure to warm up the cool November evening.
Upon leaving the car our guests will make their way to the front doors where a cocktail reception will be underway. Once again every guest will be treated as a VIP as they are served a glass of wine and invited to check their coat.
Following the reception, complete with martini bar, guests will make their way at about 7:00 pm to the hall for a scrumptious dinner featuring carved beef or grilled salmon. Our committee has paid special attention to every detail including a design that incorporates round tables so guests can chat comfortably.
The evening doesn’t end there! Following dinner, guest will make their way to the 300 seat theatre for an intimate, exclusive and “up close” performance featuring country music singing star Aaron Lines. Aaron was the most played country music singer on Canadian radio in 2005 and has toured with superstars including Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts on the Neon Circus Tour, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Leann Rimes, Phil Vassar, and Paul Brandt. His latest release Somebody’s Son will be played at every “Welcome Home Ceremony” for American soldiers who arrive back to the post after fulfilling their tour of duty. Replacing the song they’d used for years, Toby Keith’s - “American Soldier”.
At intermission the excitement continues with a live auction featuring spectacular prizes. Guests are sure to reach for their cheque books in support of the Foundation’s goal to purchase state-of- the-art equipment. Technology that ensures quality health care is delivered close to home.
Our valued KDH Foundation donors will receive a front of the line opportunity. Tickets for KDH Foundation donors go on sale Tuesday, September 25th through Friday, October 12th. All remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, October 13th until November 24th. Don’t delay! Buy your tickets early because this event will sell out fast. To reserve your tickets call Mary at 613-258-6133 x 157.

Our community is growing fast and there has never been a more critical time for the role that our hospital holds and why community support has never been more important. This year alone our equipment needs total well over $1 million and the current budget can only be stretched to cover $600,000.
The Kemptville District Hospital strives to remain at the forefront of progressive health care as it evolves quickly with advancing technologies and increased knowledge in order to offer care of the highest calibre.
