The Emergency department operates 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to meet your urgent care needs. There is always a doctor on call.

We are committed to providing you with efficient, quality care. When you arrive, a specially trained Triage Nurse assesses you. The nurse will determine the nature of your illness based on your symptoms and history. If this assessment indicates a condition that may be critical, you will receive care immediately. If your condition is not critical, you will see the physician as soon as he/she is available. In some cases, the nurse may do some tests or provide medication before the physician sees you.

Telehealth Ontario is a free, confidential telephone service you can call to get health advice or general health information from a Registered Nurse. That means quick, easy access to a qualified health professional, who can assess your symptoms and help you decide your best first step. They can help you decide whether to care for yourself, make an appointment with your doctor, go to a clinic, contact a community service or go to a hospital emergency room.
