Visitor Information
When Can I Visit?
Welcome to Kemptville District Hospital. We know that when
family or friends are in the hospital, people want to visit
them. One of our goals in setting visiting hours is to meet the
patient’s need for rest and treatment. We need to balance this
goal with the patient’s need for support. Since many patients
share rooms, we have to think about the needs of other patients
in the same room as well. We kept these goals in mind when we
set our visiting hours.
Don’t Visit If You Are Sick
If you are sick, please stay away from the hospital.
Patients in the hospital have more trouble fighting off germs.
Patients can be put in danger if germs are brought in and spread
in the hospital. If you have a fever, cough, runny nose, sore
throat, diarrhea, new rash or you are ill, you should stay at
home and see your doctor. If you are ill when you visit, the
nurse will ask you to leave. |

Hand Washing – Our Best Defence
Washing your hands with soap and water or with the hand gel
in the hospital is the very best way to stop the spread of
germs. Even if you are feeling well, you may be carrying germs
that would make patients sick. Please wash your hands before and
after each visit. Please click here for more information on how to effectively hand wash.
THANK YOU
We all want to do what is best for your loved one. This means
we need to think about his/her needs.
Patients need:
- To rest.
- To take part in care and treatment.
- To be protected from germs.
- To have the support of friends and family.
We kept these goals in mind when we set our visiting hours.
We need your help to meet these goals. Thank you for your
support.
