Patient Registrant / Switchboard Operator – Casual

KDH is seeking a Patient Registrant / Switchboard Operator to join the team on a casual basis.  Only those candidates that possess the Medical Office Administration/Hospital Patient Registration Diploma from an accredited learning institute will be considered. The successful candidate will share the KDH commitment to Patient and Family Centred Care and possess the following qualifications and related experience:

  • Medical Office Administration/Hospital Patient Registration Diploma from an accredited learning institute;
  • Patient Registration experience (preferred);
  • Switchboard experience (preferred);
  • Grade 12 Secondary Diploma;
  • Computer skills;
  • Medical Terminology knowledge;
  • Minimum 55 wpm typing;
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.

Starting wage: $22.79 per hour.

Please note: In order to work in a healthcare facility, the Public Hospitals Act 1990Regulation 965 requires all employees to provide proof of up-to-date immunization/vaccines for the following diseases: Tuberculin Skin Testing (TB), Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria (DTap), Influenza (during flu season) and three COVID shots. ​​This proof must be provided to our Occupational Health Office in order to be cleared to work.
