Registered Practical Nurses – Med/Surg/Ortho/CCP/ILTC – Permanent Full-Time and Casual
KDH is seeking RPNs for our inpatient medical unit, inpatient orthopaedic surgery unit, and interim long-term care/convalescent care unit, on a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) and casual basis.
In addition to having a current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and excellent communication skills (verbal and written), the successful candidates will share the KDH commitment to Patient and Family Centred Care and possess the following skills and related qualifications:
- Current BCLS certificate;
- Recent Medical, Surgical, Gerontology experience;
- Recent orthopaedic (total joint replacement) experience (preferred);
- Basic Computer Knowledge.
Shift Rotation: days, evenings, nights, weekends – 8 and 12 hour shifts
Starting Wage: $30.93 or past experience recognition as per Schedule A of the Local IUOE Collective Agreement.
Please note: In order to work in a healthcare facility, the Public Hospitals Act 1990, Regulation 965 requires all employees to provide proof of up-to-date immunization/vaccines for the following diseases: Tuberculin Skin Testing (TB), Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria (DTap), Influenza (during flu season) and three COVID shots. This proof must be provided to our Occupational Health Office in order to be cleared to work.
