The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic imaging using ultrasound. The technologist must be capable of performing technical procedures independently, using initiative and judgement and be able to assume responsibility for designated areas or special procedures as required.

The successful candidate will share our commitment to Patient and Family Centred Care and possess the following qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS);
  • Current registration with the Regulator of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO);
  • Maintain registry status by obtaining the required hours of continuing medical education credits every 3 years;
  • Current CPR Certificate

Starting Wage:

$35.77/hour

Please note: In order to work in a healthcare facility, the Public Hospitals Act 1990, Regulation 965 requires all employees to provide proof of up-to-date immunization/vaccines for the following diseases: Tuberculin Skin Testing (TB), Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria (DTap), Influenza (during flu season) and three COVID shots. This proof must be provided to our Occupational Health Office in order to be cleared to work.
