KDH is seeking RPN’s to join our Emergency Department on a Temporary Part-Time basis.

Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Registered Practical Nurse with a current Registration issued by the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- Current BCLS Certificate (required);
- ENPC and TNCC course participation (an asset)
- ACLS (an asset)
- Minimum of 1-year recent ER nursing experience (preferred)
- 1 year of recent medical/surgical experience;
- Competency in venipuncture and intravenous cannulation in adults and pediatric patients;
- Familiar with oxygen administration, ECG completion, simple sterile dressings, intermittent catheterization, NG tube insertion and application of basic orthopedic devices;
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Must be able to function collaboratively within interdisciplinary team;
- Able to demonstrate skill competency within a fast-paced environment;
- Committed to continuing education and maintains competence relevant to current practice;
- Computer competency required;
- Experience working with electronic health records, preferably Epic;
- Demonstrates superior organizational skills;
- Good work and attendance record required.
Starting Wage:
$36.60/hr
