The Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary (KDHA)’s annual giant garage sale, Hey Day, has been their single largest fundraising effort for over 60 years. Hey Day Co-ordinator, Jolene Stover, today announced that the KDHA has stepped up to the challenge and their Hey Day 50/50 fundraiser is going online to benefit Kemptville District Hospital (KDH).

Tickets are available at www.kdha5050.ca. $10 buys you 10 tickets, $20 gets you 60 tickets, or you can get 200 for $40. Every month, there will be a Grand Prize Winner and an Early Bird Winner ($500). Every Ontario resident over the age of 18 can purchase tickets.

For more than 60 years the KDHA’s volunteers have worked tirelessly to raise much needed funds for KDH.  Funds raised are used to enhance the excellent care that residents of North Grenville and beyond have come to expect.  KDH does not receive ongoing government funding for equipment, and relies heavily on the KDHA’s fundraising efforts to acquire essential capital equipment, such as a mammography machine, smart beds, and ECG machines, to name a few.

The KDH Auxiliary needs your support!  Help to spread the message: this is a win-win opportunity – you win and our hospital wins!  You can’t win if you don’t have tickets!

About the Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary

The Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary (KDHA) plays a crucial role at Kemptville District Hospital (KDH), both providing volunteers for every area of the hospital and raising funds for the direct benefit of KDH patients. Founded in 1959, the KDHA’s mission is to provide volunteer service to hospital patients, promote good public relations and assist the hospital in providing quality community healthcare. Over the years, the KDHA has donated more than $1.8 million for essential medical equipment for the hospital. Annually, the 200-plus members of the KDHA – men and women – gave a total of approximately 11,500 volunteer hours to their community hospital.
