Dr. Johnny Brisebois wins first Kemptville District Hospital Physician Excellence Award

May 12, 2026 – Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) is pleased to announce the winner of its first annual Physician Excellence Award.

Dr. Johnny Brisebois was selected as the 2026-2027 recipient after being nominated for the award by his peers. Dr. Brisebois is one of KDH’s longest-serving physicians and has been a cornerstone of the hospital’s Emergency Department for many years.

The KDH Physician Excellence Award recognizes a physician who has made outstanding contributions to the KDH community beyond clinical care, including leadership, mentorship, institutional engagement, and long-standing commitment to the hospital.

Dr. Brisebois consistently exemplifies the highest standards of clinical care and professionalism, and is often described as a ‘one-man public relations machine’ for KDH – an acknowledgment of the exceptional rapport he builds with patients and families.

Dr. Brisebois is not only admired by his patients, but also widely respected by nursing staff and physician colleagues alike.
