June 12, 2026 – The Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) Auxiliary is pleased to announce that Hey Day raised over $55,000 for the hospital. The sale brought in more than $50,000 and the 50/50 raffle raised an additional $4,750.

This year marked the 65th anniversary of Hey Day, which is a long-standing tradition in Kemptville dating back to June of 1961. It’s considered one of the largest indoor garage sales in eastern Ontario, with all proceeds going directly to KDH.

Hey Day was held at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on June 5 and 6, and saw an impressive turnout with people lined up outside the building. Hey Day is run entirely by volunteers and supported through community donations. Hundreds of volunteers contributed thousands of hours to make this year’s sale a success!

“We’re so grateful to our generous community and amazing volunteers for supporting Hey Day and the hospital,” said Sandi Kelly, Hey Day Co-Convenor. “Every year, I’m blown away by the community spirit behind Hey Day! These funds will go towards patient care initiatives at KDH; on behalf of the Auxiliary, I’d like to thank everyone who donated, attended, and helped with Hey Day.”

The KDH Auxiliary also expressed heartfelt thanks to its many generous sponsors. Stay tuned for details about Hey Day 2027 by following the ‘Kemptville Hospital Auxiliary KDHA’ Facebook page and ‘kdh_auxiliary’ Instagram account.
