We offer a wide variety of specialists’ clinics:

Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program

We have partnered with the Lanark Renfrew Lung Health Program and the Ottawa Heart Institute to offer a Tele-Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program for people with heart and lung conditions. This program will be in operation two days per week. There will be a respiratory therapist, physiotherapist, and physiotherapy assistant onsite during those days and there will be exercise sessions coordinated by the Ottawa Heart Institute that local patients can attend via the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN). OTN is one of the largest telemedicine networks in the world; it uses two-way videoconferencing to provide access to care for patients in every hospital and hundreds of other healthcare locations across the province.

Telemedicine

At KDH we have the capacity to offer telemedicine services so patients do not have to drive a long distance to see a specialist. Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information technologies to provide healthcare at a distance. If you are referred to a specialist whose office is a long way from your home, you may be able to see your specialist in subsequent visits through telemedicine at a centre close to your home. With telemedicine at KDH you can see and speak with your specialist via a TV screen in a private space.
