Personal Care Assistant / Personal Support Worker

“I got into health care because I wanted to help people. Initially, I went into the paramedic program, and later went back to school to become a Personal Support Worker as well. Since then, every job I’ve had has been in health care and public safety.

What I like about working in a hospital is the acute care and being there for patients and families through different stages of care needs. Those interactions make them feel like a person instead of a number.

We focus on person-centered care and it’s gratifying to see the positive impact that has on someone’s healthcare journey.”
