Frank Vassallo
Chief Executive Officer
Kemptville District Hospital welcomed Frank Vassallo as its Chief Executive Officer in 2015. He is a progressive, results-oriented leader with more than 28 years’ experience in the areas of health service administration and external relations across both public and private sectors.
Prior to joining KDH, Frank served as Vice President of OntarioMD, a Toronto-based subsidiary of the Ontario Medical Association, and President of healthcare consultancy Synergy Health Service Solutions Inc. His public sector experience includes three positions with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, including as Director, Planning and Support, for the Central South Region.
At KDH, Frank leads with vision, strategy, and focus, enabling and empowering KDH’s high performing teams. He has an unwavering commitment to building strong collaborative relationships in the community and region.
Frank is very active at local, regional and provincial tables. Provincially, he serves as Co-Chair of the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA)’s Small, Rural & Northern Hospital Network and as a member of the OHA’s new ED Strategy Advisory Group bringing advice and guidance to Ontario Health and the Ministry of Health.
Frank has a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Dalhousie University and a Master’s degree in Communication Management from McMaster University and Syracuse University.
